I recently signed on to Vox for the first time in months, since a couple of the students in my Blogging and Business course are using Vox for their blogs. I'm leaving a comment on each student's blog, and you need to have a Vox account to leave comments on a Vox blog.
Meanwhile, back home at WordPress, the next generation of Changing Way, my main blog, was recently born.
Hey, Vox seems to have launched... congrats to all concerned.
What's the most extreme weather you've been in? A memorable storm? Heat wave? Or something else?
Years ago, I was on a plane, I think it was British Airways between London and Boston. There was some turbulence, and the seatbelt sign was on.
Then suddenly the plane juddered, the lights shut off for a second or so then came back on, and then there was a slight burning smell.
The pilot did the right thing, and immediately told us what had happened. The plane had been struck by lightning. Don't worry, he said, and I tried not to.
I have a Vox invite to give away. If you want it, leave a comment here telling me why!
Update, a couple of days and a couple of invites later: I just found out that only Vox members can leave comments, so no-one who needs an invite can leave a comment here to request one.
You can email me if you want an invite. Vox seems to be giving me new invite tickets at about the rate I'm giving them out...
Thanks to the good folks at Six Apart for sending me an invite to Vox. Most of the buttons above this blog post editing box look like familiar friends. Let's use a few in listing, and linking to, some of my other blogs.
- Changing Way, my main blog.
- How Do You MU? which is about WordPress Multi-User.
- Clippage and a Blogroll thinks it's a blog, but isn't really. I use the Bloglines feed reader, and its "blog this" feature to mark posts which I intend to blog about later.
You're probably seeing ads round here... which is fair enough, since 6A have to pay for this somehow. But it makes me feel it's ok to throw in some shameless commerce of my own, while verifying that it's easy to pull a photo into a post (although not as easy as it is to do so, and get it formatted how I want it, when I post to ChangingWay). The shirt I'm wearing is from the good folks at Threadless!
Hey, look who I found! :) Your little girl is adorable (I poked around a bit in your other blog).... read more
